At Alouette Dental Centre, we are focused on giving our clients (big and small) bright, beautiful and healthy smiles. Whether you come to see Dr. Ma, Dr. Heung or Dr. Majeed, you’ll be going to a dentist Maple Ridge depends on. Our friendly staff and warm atmosphere will put you at ease as we work on your teeth.
We provide the following services:
Our practice uses digital x-rays, which are taken by digital sensors instead of traditional photographic film. The small sensors are placed in your mouth and the images are sent to a computer immediately for you to view. We can explain your diagnosis and show the problem without ever leaving your side.
The main advantages are:
• Digital x-rays are fast, easy, and painless.
• Digital x-rays have excellent image quality.
• Digital x-rays use a fraction of the radiation of traditional film x-rays.
• Digital x-rays do not use chemicals.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
The final set of molars in the back corners of your mouth, wisdom teeth usually come in between when you’re 18 and 21. Most adults deal with some form of wisdom teeth issues, often because the jaw bones are too small for the new teeth. The teeth then push through at an awkward angle, becoming impacted and causing pain.
Unfortunately, impacted wisdom teeth aren’t just painful for the patient – they can also cause serious oral health concerns. If impacted wisdom teeth are not dealt with, overcrowding and bite misalignment can occur. Luckily, the team at Alouette Dental provides oral sedation, making the removal procedure much more relaxing.
While most Maple Ridge families know that dental health is important, fear of the dentist chair can intimidate patients into avoiding regular check-ups and even crucial dental procedures for years. At Alouette Dental, we offer sedation dentistry so you can relax during your treatment. This sedation allows you to block out the procedure so we can work efficiently and get you out of the chair (and back to your life) as soon as possible.
Who can benefit from sedation?
• Anyone who has fear and anxiety about dental treatment of any kind.
• Anyone who has put off dental care for years because of dental anxieties.
• Anyone who wants to have all their dental care completed in one or two visits.
• Anyone who wants to be treated in a relaxed, caring and comfortable environment.
Because you’ll need to take the sedation pill before you leave home, someone must accompany you to and from the dentist’s office. Although you’ll feel completely refreshed when the procedure is over, you’ll still be under the effects of sedation. Luckily, upon completion of your dental treatment under conscious sedation, you will feel relaxed with little or no memory of the procedure.
